Description
This issue is part of the original Action Comics series, which began in 1938, with this specific issue #692 published in 1993. In the story subtitled “And Who, Disguised as Clark Kent?”, Superman’s triumphant return to Metropolis leads to the long-awaited discovery of the missing reporter Clark Kent.
Clark is found alive, though exhausted and bearded, in a basement. Lois Lane is overjoyed that her fiancé has returned, and she, Clark, and Superman pose together for a photo taken by Jimmy Olsen. Superman then faces an unexpected problem when his name has been registered as a trademark by Rex Leech, forcing him to deal with legal complications around his own identity.
Later, the story reveals that Supergirl was behind the “return” of Clark Kent, impersonating him so the public would believe Clark and Superman could exist at the same time. A key moment comes with a visit from Doctor Occult, who shows Lois and Clark what really happened during Superman’s death and return.
Together, they travel through time and witness Superman’s soul struggle between life and death, with help from his adoptive father Jonathan Kent. Meanwhile, Superman’s body recovered in a Kryptonian regeneration matrix thanks to solar energy. The story ends with Clark and Lois returning to the Kent farm, where they reunite with their family.
The comic is in VF (Very Fine) condition, which according to collector standards means very good condition with only minor signs of wear. It may show small surface scratches, slightly worn corners, or light bends, but overall it remains well preserved and attractive. This condition is highly valued by collectors.
