Clark and Lois are both troubled by someone profiting from Joker’s criminal reputation, and Jimmy Olsen openly criticizes it, prompting Lois to investigate Turley more closely.

That evening, Turley returns to his factory and is confronted by the Joker himself, who is unhappy that someone is making money from his “good name.” Joker then joins the action and appears with Turley on a float during the “Mile-o-Mirth” parade in Metropolis. The parade is accompanied by strange Phlufs robots carrying gifts that are actually bombs, but Superman intervenes in time and safely disarms them all.

Joker later unleashes an army of synthetic Mighty Martian Powee Rangers, and Superman battles them while Jimmy Olsen surprisingly punches Joker in the stomach and helps secure his capture. The story ends with Jimmy receiving a job offer from Cat Grant and Lois Lane receiving a Joker action figure, suggesting that Joker’s antics are not quite over.
