Amazing Spider-Man (1963 1st Series) #363 closes out the “Savage Grace!” trilogy with a dramatic финале set during a heavy metal concert at Madison Square Garden. The psychopathic Carnage kidnaps J. Jonah Jameson as a hostage in front of thousands of headbangers and plans a public execution. Spider-Man and Venom, having formed an uneasy alliance in the previous issue, battle Carnage across the stage, through subway tunnels, and back to the spotlight for a brutal final showdown.
This issue is a standout example of 1990s symbiote action, with Bagley and Emberlin delivering a high-energy, crowd-pleasing finish. Spider-Man uses the MSG sound system to weaken both Carnage and Venom, while the issue also features the first appearance of Richard and Mary Parker’s LMD robots, along with cameos by Joe Robertson, Mister Fantastic, and the Human Torch.
