Captain America #34 is the second part of the two-part “Cache is King!” storyline. The issue was written and drawn by Dan Jurgens, with inks by Art Thibert and a cover by Dan Jurgens and Art Thibert.
The story follows Captain America and Falcon, Sam Wilson, who are trapped in a virtual reality created by the supervillain Cache inside the Parliamech headquarters. Cache believes he holds all the cards, but the heroes have a plan to defeat him. The issue also includes brief cameo appearances by characters such as Jake Olsen as Thor, Sharon Carter, Nick Fury, Dum Dum Dugan, Protocide, and U.S. Agent.
This 32-page issue was published in October 2000 and reflects modern themes tied to the digital world and virtual gaming within the Marvel Universe.
