Description
Captain America #430 is part of the 1994 series created by writer Mark Gruenwald, with pencils by Dave Hoover and inks by Danny Bulanadi. The cover is also by Dave Hoover. This issue is the sixth part of the 12-part “Fighting Chance” storyline and features a guest appearance by Black Widow.
The story takes place during a dramatic night at Damon Dran’s house in New Orleans, where Captain America is hit and Americop is taken out of the fight. Cap makes his way into the house to save Diamondback and Moonhunter, while Americop arrives intending to intervene violently. Both are forced to face Dran’s tough fighters, but Diamondback manages to escape and call for help from Avengers Mansion. Black Widow and Diamondback then join the effort to rescue Captain America, all set against a wild nighttime bayou backdrop.
The comic also includes a short origin story for Americop and a one-page pin-up featuring Captain America and Red Skull promoting the upcoming Streets of Poison trade paperback.
The comic is in VF (Very Fine) condition, which means very good condition with only minor signs of wear. It may show light surface scratches or slightly worn corners, but it is complete, readable, and suitable for collectors. We are not a professional grading company, and all grades are assigned to the best of our knowledge and estimate. Customers should always verify the condition using the actual photos of the copy.
