Captain America (2002 4th Series) #5 is the second part of the three-part “Warlords” storyline, titled “Above the Law.” The issue was written by John Ney Rieber, with art and painted cover by John Cassaday.
The story begins when Steve Rogers has to cancel his planned trip to Europe because terrorists threaten to disrupt Independence Day celebrations in Riverside Park near the Potomac River. Captain America immediately intervenes and discovers that the enemies are once again wearing the distinctive cat-tags. After the successful mission, he contacts Nick Fury to assess the situation. Steve then finally boards a flight to Germany, where the big finale of this storyline awaits him.
This issue was published in August 2002 and contains 32 pages of full-color artwork.
The comic is in VF (Very Fine) condition, which means a very well-preserved copy with only minor signs of wear. It may show light corner wear or small surface scratches, but it is complete, fully readable, and attractive for collectors. Customers should always verify the condition using the actual photos of the copy.
