Description
Superman #330 pits the Man of Steel against the hypnotic menace of Spellbinder in “The Master Mesmerizer of Metropolis!” Written by Martin Pasko, the issue centers on a psychological threat rather than a purely physical one, as Spellbinder uses mass hypnosis to endanger the people of Metropolis. Superman responds with his own super-hypnosis measures to protect the city, creating one of the era’s stranger and more memorable ethical dilemmas.
Curt Swan’s pencils, finished by Frank Chiaramonte, give the issue the clean, classic Superman look that defined much of the character’s Bronze Age presence. The Ross Andru and Dick Giordano cover reinforces the hypnotic theme and makes the issue instantly recognizable to collectors. Graded CGC 9.2, this copy is in Very Fine/Near Mint- condition and is a strong Bronze Age Superman collectible.
