This issue features the story “To The Victor…!” where Eric Masterson, the new Thor, continues his heroic deeds on Earth, clashing with Shatterfist and confronting fears about his own mortality. A meeting with the Avengers brings advice, and at the Avengers mansion, an unexpected revelation occurs: Sif is actually the Enchantress in disguise, adding a new dimension to her plans. Amora sends Eric to Asgard on a “rescue” mission for the real Sif, leading to a showdown between Thor and Eric. The backup story “When Odin Commands!” shows Odin tasking the dwarves with crafting a new weapon for Eric Masterson. The cover was illustrated by Ron Frenz, with finished art by Al Milgrom. The comic runs 36 full-color pages and carried an original cover price of $1.25.
