In “Faces in the Fire,” following Onslaught’s devastating attack, Wolverine shifts focus from the main battle to rescue efforts, saving a young boy from a burning apartment building with the mysterious aid of Stick. A cameo appearance by the Human Torch ties the story into the larger Onslaught event, leading directly into Onslaught: Marvel Universe #1. The issue was written by Larry Hama, with art by Val Semeiks and inks by Chad Hunt, Vince Russell, and Harry Candelario. The cover was created by Anthony Winn and Dan Panosian.
